Our Mission

America is, once again, at a crossroads. In the face of new and direct attacks upon people of color, a pandemic ravishing our nation and sovereign indigenous lands, mass internment and expulsion of immigrants, challenges to LGBTQ rights, the erosion of environmental protections, the degradation of public trust and in the media, limits upon women’s reproductive health rights and all of our voting rights, attempts to cripple affordable healthcare, continued defunding of our public education system, shrinking collective bargaining, and a devastated system for public broadcast, the arts, and humanities… we desperately need to come together to challenge the systemic breakdowns that got us here with unwavering resolve.

Even as our cities literally smolder and our leadership fails us, we will come together to lift our voices, assert our rights, reclaim our power, and manifest a vision for our future where everyone can with dignity, freedom, and hope.

Dignity, Freedom, & Hope

Our Events

Into Action is free and open to the public for all ages. Experience the moving work of over 200 world-class artists that will ignite the sense and illuminate our resilience.

Take Black the Vote

August 6th marks the 55th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act. We will kick-off INTO ACTION with a powerful set of programs that focused on building black power, honoring the legacy and the ongoing work to tackle voter suppression and for voting rights, particularly for the BIPOC community.

In the legacy of the great cultural movement that drove the Voting Rights Act, we will celebrate this day with high profile speakers, thought-provoking panel discussions, intimate interviews, musical performances, spoken word, and visual art – mixing the wisdom of our elder organizers with the next generation of leaders taking the reins to fight for justice.

Our Voice Our Power

Young people are at the front of the local, national, and global movements demanding justice. Together we will celebrate youth leadership and the work being done to build momentum towards a massive youth turnout in November.

With continued attacks upon access to women’s health and safety and continued inequitable pay – glass ceilings remain unbroken while toxic men ascend to power. Today’s feminist movements are being led by women of color and becoming more and more potent and powerful.
